Pakistan Web Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the public not to place undue expectations on U.S. President Donald Trump.
Speaking to the media from Adiala Jail, Qureshi emphasized that his release could only come through steadfastly defending his stance and legal battles.
Regarding PTI founder Imran Khan’s letter to the Army Chief, Qureshi acknowledged hearing about it but had not seen it himself. He stated that the letter outlines reasons and recommendations that should be viewed constructively.
Qureshi further criticized the ruling parties, claiming that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have collectively harmed democracy. He accused them of amending the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) to suppress freedom of speech. Additionally, he stated that Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto would be remembered for distorting the constitution.
