Karachi Web Desk: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held an important meeting with Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The meeting marked a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties and boosting economic cooperation.
Following President Asif Ali Zardari’s recent meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, new avenues for development and investment have emerged, said CM Murad Ali Shah. He emphasized that Karachi is set to benefit from multiple water supply projects initiated with Chinese support.
In addition, CM Shah highlighted the expansion of solar energy projects in collaboration with China, aiming to address Sindh’s energy needs efficiently. “We are also planning an official visit to China to finalize mega projects that will drive economic growth in Sindh,” he revealed.
Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong reaffirmed China’s commitment to investing further in Sindh, expressing confidence in the province’s potential. “Chinese investors are keen to explore new opportunities and strengthen their presence in Pakistan,” he stated.
Both leaders also discussed the integration of modern agricultural technology and research, which could significantly enhance Sindh’s agricultural output and boost productivity.
Murad Ali Shah acknowledged the pivotal role of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in fostering strong relations with China. “As Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto’s visits to China were instrumental in deepening ties between both nations,” he remarked.
This high-level meeting signals a promising future for Sindh’s development, with China playing a crucial role in infrastructure, energy, and technology-driven advancements. With increasing Chinese investment and strategic collaboration, Sindh is set to witness transformative growth in the coming years.
