Foreign Investment Boosts Pakistan’s Economy and Image, Says Energy Minister

Karachi Web Desk: Foreign investment is playing a crucial role in enhancing Pakistan’s positive image and strengthening its economy, said Sindh’s Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. Speaking at the launch event of an international airline’s operations in Pakistan, he highlighted the significance of foreign investments in the country’s economic growth.

The minister proposed that an international airline should be allowed to initiate domestic flight services to provide affordable and high-quality air travel to the public. He emphasized that the presence of foreign airlines and investments in Pakistan contradicts negative narratives about terrorism and economic instability.

“Our nation is progressing economically due to investor-friendly policies and the government’s commitment to providing maximum facilitation to industrialists and traders. The increasing interest of foreign investors, particularly in Sindh’s energy sector, is a testament to Pakistan’s potential,” Shah stated.

He further credited Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision and the proactive efforts of the Sindh Chief Minister for attracting both local and international investors to various projects in the province.

“This is a disappointing day for those who thrive on spreading negativity and false propaganda about Pakistan’s economy. The launch of an international airline’s operations in our country is a welcome development, signaling growth and new employment opportunities,” he added.

Shah concluded by expressing optimism about Pakistan’s economic trajectory, stating that foreign and domestic investments are vital in generating employment and driving progress. “We are grateful that Pakistan’s economy is moving towards stability and prosperity,” he said.
