Karachi web Desk: In a major development regarding oil theft from government pipelines in Sindh, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has formally written to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), urging an investigation into the case.

The CTD’s letter highlights the need to probe money laundering activities linked to the suspects involved. According to the letter, the accused have been stealing oil from government pipelines and illegally selling it.

The CTD has provided the FIA with a complete record of the suspects, revealing that 23 cases have been registered against them over the past five years in Sindh.

The letter also identifies 16 individuals as part of the organized group, including Lutaf Sial, Obaidullah, Mehran, Gul Khan, and Younis. Alarmingly, the accused have also been accused of providing funding to a banned organization.
