November 26 Protest: Bail Granted to 153 PTI Workers, 24 Denied

Web Desk: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has announced its verdict on bail applications submitted by 177 workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in connection with cases stemming from the November 26 protest.

The court approved bail for 153 PTI workers while rejecting the applications of 24 others.

Breakdown of Bail Approvals and Rejections:

  • Karachi Company Police Station: Out of 48 accused, bail was granted to 43 individuals, and 5 applications were denied.
  • Tarnol Police Station: Bail was approved for 2 out of 7 accused, with 5 denied.
  • I-9 Police Station: Out of 10 individuals, 9 were granted bail, and 1 was denied.
  • Kohsar Police Station: Bail was approved for 28 accused, while 5 were denied.
  • Ramna Police Station: Bail was granted to 3 out of 8 accused, with 5 applications rejected.
  • Secretariat Police Station: Bail was approved for all 25 accused.
  • Margalla Police Station: Out of 45 individuals, 42 were granted bail, and 3 were denied.

Bail Conditions:

The court approved the bail for all eligible individuals upon submission of surety bonds worth PKR 5,000 each.

This decision brings relief to the majority of the accused workers but leaves some still awaiting legal recourse.
