Web Desk: U.S. President Joe Biden has pledged to fully cover all costs related to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles for the next six months.

According to international media reports, during a briefing on the wildfire disaster in the forests of Los Angeles, President Biden stated that federal funding will be used to clear debris from affected areas, establish temporary shelters, and ensure all measures for the safety of lives and property are implemented, including paying the salaries of rescue workers.

President Biden also mentioned that additional funds may be needed for reconstruction efforts, for which he plans to appeal to Congress.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom, calling for his resignation. Trump stated that one of America’s most beautiful regions has been reduced to ashes, holding the Democratic governor responsible for the disaster.

The wildfires, described as the worst in Los Angeles’ history, have destroyed over 9,000 homes and buildings, leaving more than 32,000 acres of land scorched. Officials have said it is too early to determine the exact number of casualties. The fire, which began on Tuesday, remains uncontrolled.

As a result of the wildfire, approximately 150,000 people have been forced to evacuate. Authorities warn that if the blaze is not contained soon, it could become one of the worst natural disasters in American history.

U.S. media outlets report that the fires have also destroyed luxury homes belonging to Hollywood celebrities, causing damages estimated to exceed $50 billion.
