ISLAMABAD WEB DESK: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has criticized the government’s approach to policymaking, stating that it operates as if it has a two-thirds majority, disregarding input from its allies. He emphasized that consulting coalition partners could lead to more effective and successful policies.
Speaking at an event in Islamabad, Bilawal urged the government to focus on solving real issues rather than prioritizing decisions like releasing or detaining individuals.
“We believe in addressing issues, not fostering hate-filled politics,” he said. “Our aim is to ensure that none of us becomes an obstacle to Pakistan’s progress. It is the duty of every political worker to push for the resolution of key issues. Together, we can pave the way for the country’s development.”
Bilawal also highlighted the importance of safeguarding the 18th Constitutional Amendment, which he stressed was established through consensus and cannot be tampered with. He called for salary adjustments to match inflation over the past decade and underscored the need to ensure fair compensation for laborers. “When workers receive their due rewards, the economy will thrive,” he added.
This statement comes as a rallying call for political unity and a reminder of the pressing economic and social challenges Pakistan faces.
