Chief Minister’s Message to Police:
During the visit, CM Murad Ali Shah emphasized the importance of police services in protecting citizens’ lives and property. “The police must actively assist the public and ensure their safety,” he remarked.

Inspection of Women Police Station Under Construction:
The Chief Minister inspected the ongoing construction of a Women Police Station within the jurisdiction of Risala Police Station. Expressing dissatisfaction with the project’s prolonged delay, he directed the Interior Minister to submit a detailed report explaining the reasons behind the holdup.

Model Police Station Facilities Reviewed:
CM Shah toured the newly constructed Risala Model Police Station, examining the facilities, including a ladies’ desk and facilitation desk. Upon learning that complaints are now computerized, he reviewed the complaint register and expressed frustration over the presence of an inexperienced female constable at the ladies’ desk. He instructed officials to assign a qualified and experienced female officer to handle public grievances effectively.

Staffing Concerns Raised:
The Chief Minister scrutinized the station’s staffing levels and discovered a significant shortfall. Against a required strength of 100 officers, only 65 personnel were present, with less than 20 on duty during recent shifts. Expressing dissatisfaction, he directed SSP City to ensure adequate staffing for both day and night shifts.

Ensuring Proper Lock-Up Procedures:
During a lock-up inspection, CM Shah found nine detainees and reviewed their FIRs to ensure proper documentation and fairness. He emphasized that no innocent individual should be unjustly detained.

Technology and Security Improvements:
CM Shah instructed the SHO to install CCTV cameras in their office for enhanced oversight. He also urged SSP City Arif to improve overall conditions at Risala Model Police Station and its subordinate facilities.

The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to visiting police stations across Karachi to monitor their performance and resolve public safety issues. He stressed the need for accountability and urged authorities to make substantial improvements in operational efficiency.
