Donald Trump Claims He Spoke to Vladimir Putin About Ending Ukraine War

Moscow Web Desk – U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the phone regarding a possible resolution to the ongoing Ukraine war.

According to the New York Post, this marks the first direct communication between Putin and a U.S. president since early 2022.

Trump, who has consistently promised to end the Ukraine conflict as part of his presidential campaign, has not disclosed specific details on how he plans to achieve this.

During a recent interview aboard Air Force One, Trump described the Ukraine war as “bloodshed” and hinted that his team has made “some very good discussions” on the matter. When asked how many times he had spoken to Putin, Trump responded, “It’s better that I don’t say.” However, he did emphasize that “Putin wants the killings to stop.”

The White House has not issued any official response to these claims.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, when asked by Russian media, acknowledged that “various sources are providing different information.” He added, “These communications take place through different channels, and I may not be aware of everything. Therefore, I cannot confirm or deny this news.”

As the war in Ukraine continues, Trump’s claim of direct talks with Putin could stir global speculation on his potential diplomatic approach if he returns to office. The world now watches closely to see whether these alleged discussions could influence the trajectory of the conflict.
