Islamabad Web Desk: In a much-needed relief for consumers, the government has announced a reduction in fuel prices for the next 15 days. The new prices will take effect from midnight tonight.
According to the official notification, petrol prices will see a slight drop of 50 paisas per liter, bringing the new price to Rs. 255.63 per liter.
High-speed diesel (HSD) will witness a significant reduction of Rs. 5.31 per liter, setting the new price at Rs. 258.64 per liter.
Kerosene oil, commonly used in households, will become more affordable with a decrease of Rs. 3.53 per liter, bringing the revised price to Rs. 168.12 per liter.
Meanwhile, light diesel oil (LDO) prices will also see a cut of Rs. 2.47 per liter.
This move comes as part of the government’s efforts to ease financial burdens on the public amid fluctuating global oil prices. The revised fuel rates will be in effect for the next 15 days, ensuring short-term relief for consumers across the country.
