Web Desk: The Israeli President, Isaac Herzog, has called on the nation’s political leadership to ensure a deal for the release of Israeli hostages currently held in Gaza, according to an international news agency.
In his statement, President Herzog emphasized the urgent need for action, urging Israeli leaders to utilize all available resources and exert maximum effort to finalize an agreement. He highlighted the peril faced by the hostages and underscored the political leadership’s responsibility to secure their release through a negotiated deal.
Earlier, the Palestinian resistance group Hamas had accused Israel of delaying a ceasefire agreement due to new conditions imposed by the Israeli side.
According to Arab media reports, Hamas stated that it had shown flexibility in ceasefire negotiations mediated by Qatar and Egypt.
