The metropolis remains under the grip of icy winds, with temperatures expected to drop as low as 10°C today, according to weather predictions.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reports that the cold and dry weather in Karachi on Saturday is due to chilly winds blowing in from Balochistan. As a result, the temperature feels 2 to 4 degrees lower than the actual reading.
Today, Karachi recorded a minimum temperature of 13°C, but forecasts suggest that over the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature may reach 26°C, while the minimum could dip to 10°C.
Meteorologists have also indicated that winds from the northeast are likely to blow at speeds of 10 to 25 kilometers per hour throughout the day, adding to the cold weather.
