Karachi,Web Desk : Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has officially inaugurated the newly renovated National Stadium in Karachi in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The grand ceremony marked a significant milestone in the revival of sports activities in the city.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed his commitment to providing world-class sports facilities in Sindh, ensuring that no effort is spared in bringing back the vibrant energy of competitive sports to Karachi. He praised the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for completing the stadium’s upgradation within record time and expressed confidence in Pakistan’s national team for the upcoming tournament.

The event was graced by prominent figures, including Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, Federal Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, and other distinguished guests. Representing President Asif Ali Zardari, CM Murad Ali Shah acknowledged the collaborative efforts that made the project a success.

Reflecting on past initiatives, he highlighted that the Sindh government had previously upgraded the stadium for PSL matches in 2018. He emphasized Karachi’s deep-rooted love for cricket, assuring fans that his government remains steadfast in its support for the sport at every level.

“We are fully committed to restoring Karachi’s sports culture and will leave no stone unturned in this mission,” stated Murad Ali Shah. Expressing optimism for the ICC Champions Trophy, he added, “We expect our Shaheens (Pakistan cricket team) to deliver an outstanding performance.”

He concluded by emphasizing the true spirit of sportsmanship, saying, “Victory and defeat are part of the game, but what matters most is playing with passion and giving it our best.”
