Establishment has begun reconciliation, but PML-N is trying to block progress in our negotiations: Sher Afzal
Web Desk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat has claimed that after the events of November 26, the establishment has initiated efforts to reconcile with PTI. However, he alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is attempting to stall the negotiations.
Sher Afzal Marwat said that PTI’s founder had formed a negotiation committee and even made a statement that PTI leaders were engaging with the government in a positive manner.
Marwat criticized the statement by the PTI founder, saying it undermined the importance of the negotiation committee and caused them some setbacks.
He further claimed that negotiations between PTI and the establishment took place from November 22 to 26. During these talks, there were discussions about the PTI founder’s release within 15 to 20 days. “However, it was either our mistake or sheer stubbornness that we insisted on reaching D-Chowk at all costs,” Marwat admitted.
During the discussion, Sher Afzal Marwat clarified that neither the party nor its founder had abandoned the call for civil disobedience. However, he suggested that, based on party recommendations, Imran Khan has temporarily postponed the call for civil disobedience.
Marwat also claimed that efforts are ongoing to revive negotiations. “We are trying to restart the process that had been underway from November 22 to 26,” he concluded.
