Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi Sentenced: PTI Members Protest Outside Assemblies

Pakistan Web Desk: In a significant development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members staged protests outside assemblies, holding banners and portraits of Imran Khan, following the sentencing of the party’s founding chairman, Imran Khan, and his wife, Bushra Bibi.

The Accountability Court handed down a verdict in the high-profile 190 million pounds case, convicting Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The court sentenced Imran Khan to 14 years in prison and Bushra Bibi to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment. Additionally, fines were imposed, and Al-Qadir Trust and University were placed under government control.

PTI members in Punjab and Sindh Assemblies expressed their discontent with the ruling. Opposition members in the Punjab Assembly were seen holding banners and pictures of the former prime minister during their protest against the court’s decision.

Similarly, PTI members in Sindh Assembly also demonstrated, raising their voices against the judicial verdict.

This unprecedented sentencing and the subsequent protests have sparked widespread discussions across the country, further intensifying Pakistan’s political climate.
