Karachi Web Desk – A significant meeting of the Sindh Cabinet Sub-Committee, chaired by Agriculture Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Maher, was held to evaluate the performance of the Sindh Seed Corporation. The session was attended by provincial ministers Jam Khan Shoro and Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Agriculture Secretary Sohail Ahmed Qureshi, Managing Director Sindh Seed Corporation Mushtaq Ahmed Soomro, and other officials.
The meeting reviewed the current status of the corporation, discussed future plans, and explored new strategies to provide better services to farmers. A detailed report on the decisions made during previous meetings was also presented.
The sub-committee directed the inclusion of three agricultural experts in the Sindh Seed Corporation, emphasizing the need for further legal reforms. It was decided that a report on these reforms would be presented at the next meeting.
Provincial ministers Sardar Muhammad Bux Maher, Jam Khan Shoro, and Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah instructed the officials to implement a strict quality control system to ensure the high standards of agricultural seeds. They reiterated that the primary goal of the Sindh Seed Corporation is to supply quality seeds to farmers and boost agricultural productivity, stressing the need for continuous improvement in the corporation’s operations.
During the briefing, MD Mushtaq Ahmed Soomro highlighted key initiatives, reporting that crops have been cultivated on 2,300 acres, and agricultural goods have been distributed to 500 registered farmers.
