Karachi Web Desk: In a high-level meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, key infrastructure projects, including the construction of the Korangi Causeway Bridge, were reviewed and approved. The session also focused on improving connectivity across Bhutto Road in multiple directions.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Special Assistant Qasim Naveed, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, and other key government representatives. Officials from the transport and urban planning departments also participated to provide insights and recommendations.
Korangi Causeway Bridge: A Game-Changer for Karachi’s Traffic Flow
One of the focal points of the meeting was the Korangi Causeway Bridge project, an ambitious initiative estimated to cost PKR 9.3 billion. The bridge will include multiple loops, enhancing traffic movement and reducing congestion. Additionally, a 3,000-meter Korangi Intersection will be constructed to streamline the flow of vehicles.
To further enhance connectivity, an underpass will be built to facilitate smooth access between EBM Causeway and Korangi, alongside the development of a modern roundabout to accommodate traffic from various directions.
Bhutto Road Expansion and Connectivity Enhancements
The meeting also focused on improving Bhutto Road’s infrastructure, with the Chief Minister approving the construction of a flyover near Samoon Goth and additional connecting roads. He directed the Planning and Development Department to finalize all necessary approvals within a week so that work could commence without delay.
