Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah Attends the 8th Diplomatic and Foreign Investment Award Ceremony
Karachi Web Desk: The 8th Diplomatic and Foreign Investment Award Ceremony 2024, hosted by the Diplomatic Forum for Social Economic Foundation, took place at a local hotel. The event brought together diplomats, investors, and business leaders from various countries.
Attendees included diplomats from nations such as China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates, along with representatives from the Middle East. The ceremony also featured speeches from PPP MNA Ikhtiar Baig, Iranian Consul General Hussain Noorani, Special Representative of the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qasim Naveed, and Asif Haroon, President of the Diplomatic Forum.
In his address, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed his admiration for the event, saying, “The organization of this ceremony is commendable, and I am truly impressed by the hard work and dedication of the Diplomatic Forum for Social Economic Foundation.”
He went on to highlight the Sindh government’s commitment to fostering a favorable environment for both local and foreign investors. “We have taken numerous positive steps to build trust with investors, both local and international, and we are dedicated to enhancing investment policies,” he stated.
Murad Ali Shah emphasized the importance of collaboration between federal and provincial governments to drive economic growth, noting that the “Doing Business Reform Strategy serves as a national roadmap to improve the investment climate in Pakistan.”
The Chief Minister outlined the ongoing reforms aimed at regulatory improvements, increased technological adoption, and strengthening the capabilities of implementation agencies. “Our focus is on simplifying the processes involved in establishing and running businesses, making it easier for investors to thrive,” he explained.
He also acknowledged the significant contribution of foreign investors to Pakistan’s economic progress, particularly in Sindh. Multinational companies from countries such as China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, the UAE, and the Middle East are thriving in our province, playing a vital role in driving our economic progress and development.
