Celebrating Quaid-e-Azam’s 148th Birth Anniversary: Youth Parliament Hosts Special Event in Karachi.

Web Desk: A special event titled “Children of the Quaid” was held on January 2, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi to commemorate the 148th birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The gathering brought together esteemed guests, including the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, and other dignitaries.

The Chairman of the Youth Parliament, Rizwan Jaffar, warmly welcomed the guests and reflected on the organization’s 20-year journey. Highlighting the significance of the occasion, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani emphasized that Pakistan itself is the greatest legacy of Quaid-e-Azam. He urged the youth to uphold this legacy with commitment and determination.

In his address, Gilani encouraged young people to actively participate in politics, describing them as the key to strengthening the nation. He also stressed the importance of reinforcing the country’s constitution, noting that the 18th Amendment had further solidified Pakistan’s foundation.

Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah shed light on Quaid-e-Azam’s extraordinary life and his relentless struggle for the liberation of the people. Shah reminded the audience of Jinnah’s fight for Pakistan as a means to free the public from subjugation and called for adopting the true, tolerant vision of Jinnah, leaving behind any false narratives.

Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani highlighted the transformative power of youth in redefining the standards of politics. He remarked that it was through Jinnah’s entry into politics that Pakistan became a reality and encouraged young people to carry forward his legacy with integrity.

The event concluded with Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani administering the oath to newly elected members of the Youth Parliament’s Shadow Cabinet. He urged them to remain steadfast in their loyalty to Pakistan’s constitution and its principles.

The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of Quaid-e-Azam’s timeless vision and the critical role of the youth in shaping the nation’s future.
